And so far I have survived, even through a couple of attempts and a handful of hospitalizations, but it's such a struggle. I work full-time and try to pretend to a degree of normalcy but so much of my head is occupied with trying not to throw myself out my office window. I have a therapist and a psychiatrist, I have friends, I have a supportive boyfriend. I am trying to do everything I can but there's so much I can't do. I just want the suicidal urges to stop. I want to have my life back free from this suffering.

Thanks for listening.

one thing to do is to realize it's all just thoughts and try to refocus your mind the minute they pop in your head. Have counterthoughts ready.

Thank you. They are just thoughts. I try to refocus but they're so persistent. Have any counterthoughts in particular helped you?

I do guided imagery... and I admit my visual thoughts are cheesy - light above my head entering me, so i am filled with light, growing huge pair of wings, washing off the negative energies in waterfall or in stream of light....

find something that suits you.

These thoughts seems to border on OCD.... do you take medication to calm them down? I know it's awful. But you seem to have a great support system. You WILL get through it.

Thank you. It really is awful. I hope I can get through this. So far nothing really calms them down. Just time.
