I'm stuck at a boarding school I don't want to go to but my parents make me. It's very hard to find free time and whatnot. Anyways, I often experience times where I feel super hyper and very talkative, but one bad word from anyone and I lose all energy and go into a state where I feel almost depressed. This state also comes out often at night and I have lost sleep because of it. I also used to turn to weed to help my mood but while I'm stuck at school that's not an option, which has also taken a toll out of my happiness. If you need to hear more let me know. Thank you

I read both your posts. Why is your teacher not letting you go home? What type of boarding school is it? Can you talk to your guidance councillor or school clinic? Therapy would be a good place to start.

Well I can't really answer your question and unfortunately no one else on here can really either because that would be giving you possible false responses to something you're looking for.

Sounds like you're going through a tough time at the moment.

For me, my depression isn't "usually" triggered by anything external ... It creeps in gradually out of nowhere and can, but not always, follow a manic or hypomanic phase.

Normally when I'm hypo it will last at least a week to a few weeks and is a constant feeling and doesn't just randomly pop out at night.

Studies have shown the negative effects on the psychological wellbeing of teenagers who smoke weed, especially a predisposition to depression so I'm glad you've stopped that - only going to make your mood worse in the long run.

Is there any mental health professional that you can see about your concerns?

Be well.
