As I get older the noises and voices in my head are getting louder and harder to ignore. Is this normal? I'm 37 now, and it wasn't this bad in my 20's. I'm scared

Thanks for this!

What does your pdoc say about this? Just wonder what med changes you might have been through in order to alleviate your symptoms?

I'd start to worry if the voices begin telling you to harm yourself or others.

I usually only have that if I'm going through an extreme episode.

Ya, so far no "harm yourself" voices. It's just getting louder. Sounds like there's a cafeteria in my head. My meds haven't changed - but I think your right. I've been manic for 6 months and recently have been really stressed at work & not sleeping so my episodes are more extreme. That would explain the noises getting louder. I'm going to see my doc this week - Thanks

It sounds like you need a rest. Is it possible to take a holiday from work and just try to chill out quietly somewhere?

Wow- my mom just told me the same thing. I'm going to take a leave from work for a week or two. Just to gather my thoughts and get balanced before it gets a lot worst.

Thanks for the advice

mini vaction / kiddnaping

do this when ever i get stressed or see a friend in need
figure out something fun u want to do that u have not done before or have and enjoyed it greatly and then just go and do it .............one time rode every roller coaster at a park 2 times in one day ....other was fishing trip on river.......other was a trip to denver for 5 days

the kidnapping part is simple ............u drive up u tell the person get in the car and u drive until u get to where u are going (if they are worried about work or something u call the place up and tell them some story )
