Hi,
So I am completely new to this strange feeling. Last night, when I tried to go to bed, my thoughts became incredibly loud (If that's the right word,) and fast. It felt like I constantly, even when I was just in bed trying to keep my eyes closed, had a pen to paper and was writing stories (sometimes almost like someone was speaking through me), most of which were completely irrelevant to my life (no one I knew was in them, not even me.) I don't know whether I am explaining this right or not. I could not sleep, I kept getting those dizzy spells that you get when you stand up so quickly, even when I was doing absolutely nothing besides laying in my bed. My thoughts became so vivid that at one point the lines between imagination and reality were blurring. I kept thinking I was somewhere else, there were people with me, or something similar. I swore at one point I was hearing noises, which varies from car brakes to explosions. I ended up not being able to sleep at all, until 4 in the morning, an hour before I had to get up for school. Even then, my dreams were violent, almost excruciatingly detailed, and felt like I was living out a long novel. Maybe this would have been somewhat normal if they had anything to do with my life. No, I had made up an entire world, an entire, elaborate story, with characters and creatures completely unfamiliar to me. When I woke up, I was so confused, dizzy, it almost felt like I was still asleep. I tried to get ready for school, but my mind kept trailing off, almost to the point where I would stand still for up to five minutes, staring at nothing, trying to comprehend my surroundings, and differentiate between what was real and what was not. (I even managed to put my shirt on backwards. Twice. *Slow Clap.*) I didn't end up going, because it got so bad. Even now, hours later, I keep having dizzy spells (So bad I almost swear that I faint for a moment,) and I can't keep my thoughts straight. I doubt this made any sense at all, but I was wondering if anyone had experienced anything similar before, and if you know, why. I am currently taking Seroquel XR and Viibryd for bipolar depression. I have never experienced anything like this while on the medication. I thought for a while that I might have missed my medication, but it appears that I did, although I can't exactly remember if I did or not... but my memories of yesterday are overall muddled. Thank you! |

well in reading what you wrote, the first thing I was thinking was it sounded kind of manic. I would contact your dr and let him know what is going on.
