I think it is mixed. So much worse! Racing negative thoughts, depression sadness and feeling extremely anxious and twitchy. I want to scream and cry and run away.

Mixed states are awful. I really feel for you. Have you had them before? What did you do to manage it? For me antipsychotics help a lot. Know it will pass and hang in there.

Crazy you are, based off the definition. I consider it a slur for people with mental illness.

I have had them before. In the past I didn't manage well. I often ended up in the hospital. I don't take meds any more because they made me worse. I did a year of ECT and that helped . I was well for a year. I thought I didn't even have bipolar because I was doing do well.
I feel like a failure.

You're not a failure! Mixed states suck. My last one landed me in the hospital too. Know that there are many of us out there struggling with the same thing, all of us fighting together. Stay strong! Would you be willing to try a low dose of something to take the edge off?

Spoke with T tonight and he recommended that I get back with my p-doc, just to keep her in the loop and that I should take a sick day tomorrow and then give notice at my job to take the stress off.

Never tried melatonin, but benedryl and stuff like that has the opposite effect on me and makes me nuts.

Hopefully a day off will help. Put in for sick leave instead of quitting it may look better to SSDI.

Mixed is pure hell on earth. I know your med free due to your great results with ECT. Maybe your Pdoc would consider a short dose of an AP in hopes that it will level you out a bit?

I'm sorry

I don't qualify for long term sick leave. I haven't been there long enough. I took a sick day today and I have 12 hours of sick time left. I earn it 4 hours each month.
