I can be depressed in the morning, and then I will respond in the evening by making a dumb choice due to switching to hypomania...

This is what got me in trouble at school, most recently...

Not just impulsive decisions, but impulsive reactions. When I am not so good, I tend to just get out of any situation ASAP without even thinking about what I really want to do. My instinct is just to get away as soon as possible.

Are you having distinct changes in mood daily like this? Does it happen often?

What Bipolar do you have? .Bipolar nos, Bipolar I , Bipolar II, or Cyclothymic ?

Bipolar "typically" doesn't cycle like this. Could you just be having stress related moods?

that is my life story the past few months. I can be in one mood and automatically swing to another a few times a day. I do make impulsive choices at times. I control it for the most part si I do not do major impulsive acts, but I do minor ones. I can tell you that rapid cycling does take place I can be the flipping poster child for that. Best thing I can suggest is learn about your behaviors and find ways to challenge those behaviors. I know this is a crappy suggestion, but is all I have.
