I have a strange and annoying habit. Sometimes, and especially lately, I have had a weird issue where when something does not go right, I get very frustrated, I start up with the colorful metaphors, and want to destroy what ever it is that is posting me off. Any ideas?

Nope. Don't know.

I had a look at your diagnosis on your profile and it's listed as depression.

Are you currently going through a depressive phase or are you suggesting it could be something else?

Awwww man, I am just so sorry to hear that.

I've suffered three miscarriages myself. I know your pain and it's not easy.

I think your symptoms have a lot to do with what's going on right now. Tough time but please hang in there. You have my support anytime.
Thanks for this!

These past two weeks have been tough, we got away today and got a hotel room, and yet here we are, both of us in tears. She can sleep (recovering from d&c), and I can't.

It's going to take time to heal and time to grieve. Allow these feelings to occur as part of the process. It doesn't matter that you booked a hotel and you're in tears. What is important is that you are together. And support one another. Even though this brings much pain and hopefully not too much strain between you.

Ps: your lack of sleep could be contributing to your symptoms

Make sure she gets on the combination birth control pill because it makes the recovery from the D&C that much easier. She does not have to commit to this as a long term birth control method, but just use it for a few months to stabilize her cycles. Plus, she needs to be on birth control now to space pregnancies; getting pregnant right now would be too taxing on her system and deplete her resources.

So, tonight I find myself in the same predicament can't sleep. This is even after a day of exercise, sunshine, and happy conversation. I am baffled!

What meds, if any, are you taking to assist you with sleep?

I would try marijuana for sleep - you are in WA so it is legal. I have found it one of the best sleep aids out there. Gentle and without hangover next morning.

I get the following:

Kiva Confections | Espresso

I would do that except that I have a Commercial Drivers License and am held to a higher standard than most so I just don't risk even drinking at all. Too expensive for the fines of something where to happen. But thank you!

I'm sorry for your loss. I think that has triggered a mixed episode. Are you able to a clinic for meds?

A Benadryl is a safe way to get a good nights rest. A pdoc suggested it once for me to ease anxiety and rest. It's was before I took meds for that. It's basically what is in Tylenol pm etc. Just a suggestion. Rest is important!

are you seeing a grief counselor or a support group ? They may be able to help you with the grieving process.

Hey,
Not read all posts. Just wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss. Been there myself and it's not at all easy. Can relate totally to how you describe feeling right now, I felt like that. I don't have any helpful suggestions, just gotta do whatever it is that keeps you busy but allow yourself to grieve as well. I did a lot of gardening, took all the anger and frustration out on the weeds. Sounds lame, but it helped. Hope you're ok.
