Today, Nov. 26, marks 6 years ago and exactly the same scenario, the day before Thanksgiving, my mother passed. I miss her more each year that passes. She felt ill on that Monday night, was sent to hospital on Tues. afternoon, and passed early on Wed. morning.

I was fine 5 minutes prior to writing this, and all of a sudden out of nowhere it hit me upside the head like a brick.

I am so sorry for your loss. There really isn't much that anyone can say to help make it better for you. I just want you to know that you are not alone in your feelings. There are many of us who can relate to you and we are all here for you as well as each other. If you want to talk you may PM me.

!!!
Have you had any kind of grief counseling? I'm so sorry you've lost her, and on such a close date to the holidays , I can't even imagine how hard that must be.

I do feel for you. My mother died 3 1/2 years ago and I miss her every day. My father died on Christmas Eve, and it is somehow terrible to be in pain and mourning at a time of celebrations.

Sending you love and strength.

Our Church has certain early night time grief counseling. NO one has to be a member of that Church, or any Church. Only if you're dealing with grief due to such happenings. I see in our small town news paper the Church putting ads letting people know about such services. Groups, I found, are very helpful because you are among others just like you. You might look around or in new papers. Sorry you grief is continuing.

Grief does hit hard sometimes out of nowhere. Holidays are times when I think about my own mom a lot. Sounds like losing your mom was unexpected? That makes it very difficult in grieving.
