I wondering if anyone else hears music when they are hypomanic. My doctor says I'm not hallucinating. Yet I keep hearing music that isn't there. I know it isn't there but it is not in my voice. Clozaril seems to help but my doctor put me on ritalin and it is very loud now and nothing seems to help it. It's driving me batty. If anyone else gets this what do they do?
Thanks for this!

I get that sometimes when I'm manic. I just ask my husband if he can hear the music, or the static that I hear sometimes over the TV or radio. I don't know why your doctor doesn't call this phenomenon what it is---auditory hallucinations---because that's what they are; you're hearing things that don't exist. I feel for ya, hon.

I hear them a lot.
At first I was so at odds about the music.
Annoying, but a part of me
Now it is sort of a constant companion.
The strange thing - it is only 70s and 80s music.

With me, it's classical---lots of violins and harps. Go figure!
