Just got off the phone with my p-doc. I am still experiencing a lot of depression and it is a battle to get myself out of bed in the morning. It's definitely gotten worse as daylight savings time has kicked in.

He recommended that I purchase a light box. He recommended two vendors: The Sun Box or Northern Lights Light Box.

He recommended that whatever I buy should have a 1 in 1,000 lux.

I am a little worried about getting it set-up, and that's my primary concern. Does anyone have experiences with light boxes? If so- what do you recommend?

I'm sorry that you're in this phase.

I usually get that way when the days become shorter too.

I have not had personal experience with a light box but have certainly heard of it.

Hope some members can give you some input into this.

Be well.

I use the Northern Light Technology Sadellite lamp. I've had it about 14 years now. I change the bulbs about every other year. It has helped me tremendously. Don't overdo it (use too long) in the beginning. It can quickly trigger a manic phase. Good luck!!

I have one too and if I use it too long it makes me really irritable. But it's nice to read infront of quietly for 10-15 minutes. Good luck.

Thanks everyone! I ended up buying a Sun Box. I'll have to keep you posted on how it goes!

I'd be very keen to hear how this all works out for you.

Good luck.
