Hey all! Just wanted to say that geodon (actually i am on pfizer's ziprasidon which is the same) started kicking in after three months. I mean really kicking in. Bad thing is that it makes me sleepy but I feel much more stable and my latest mood swings were really short. I feel much more confident, tough this whole bipolar thing still scares me a bit. But If someone made it, everybody can. Never give up. It can always get better.

I am on Geodon as well and it has done wonders for me. Now that I am on Lamictal too my pdoc is weaning my Geodon from 160mg at night to 80 mg at night. It went well at first, but the past three nights I haven't slept and I've been overly productive in a bipolar sort of way. I called my pdoc to see if I could up it back to 160 again until I see him in 2 weeks. I'm sure he'll say yes.

I love Geodon and I haven't gained weight on it which is a plus. I have a lot of weigh to lose anyway, courtesy of Seroquel!

Geodon makes me sleepy too...easy fix: take it at night. It's been great for me, and the side effect of being an appetite reducer has helped me lose 47 pounds! Goodbye to Abilify forever!

It's been good for me, too, although unfortunately I need Zyprexa to supplement it. I lost about 30 lbs. on it (some of which I've gained back thanks to the Vitamin Z) even though you have to eat something fatty with it. A big spoonful of peanut butter works well for me.

Geodon is my wonder drug. I've been on it for 4 years and have had no major episodes. I'm so thankful my pdoc chose to put me on this. Glad that it is working so great for you, too!
