Hey guys - I ran out of Lamotragine thinking my doctor rx'd me a refill - but he didn't. Tried calling his office and i get "THIS LINE IS DISCONNECTED OR NO LONGER IN SERVICE". His office is closed for the holidays so he is completely MIA. This is ridiculous. No answering service. He's private practice so no affiliation with the local hospitals. I'm calling my insurance but....

HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE AND WHAT THE HECK DO I DO!!?! HELP!

Thanks guys!!!!!

maybe call a couple walk in clinics or family doc and ask if they'd be willing to write you a script?
Thanks for this!

Yikes. Is he in a medical office building? You might want to see if there's another p-doc in his building. Then you can just explain the situation to him- it may cost you an extra visit but at least you'll get the treatment you need.

Or you could try another p-doc office- explain that your doctor is out office and provide his number to verify that he can't be reached- and they may be able to take you in for a last minute appointment.

As a last resort- you may want to bring your prescriptions either to your primary doc or an urgent care- and see if they can give you a partial re-fill to last until your p-doc comes back.

Good luck! Sorry you have to go through this.

Thank you!!!! Great ideas guys!

I'll go to the building and ask one of the other tenants to link me up with the building manager. Perhaps that person can relay a message to him letting Pdoc know his phone line is down.

Wish me luck....Ack!

Hope this all works out for you.

I've accidentally run out of meds before my next appointment and had to see my family doctor. Wasn't very happy about giving me a script.

I had to find a walk in clinic/urgent care willing to prescribe psych meds. I was to scared to go to the ER. Being without psych meds is an emergency.

My Lamotrigine bottle has it stated that I can get 'x' amount of refills without getting a new rx. You might be able to just get a refill by walking in with the bottle to a pharmacy.
