I challenged myself to write a list of 100 reasons why I want to live. I was going to post them all and then thought against it. The list itself is very personal. The act of making a list of reasons to live is not something I've ever done before and it helped me change my outlook. It was hard to do, but doable. My favorite reason to live from my list is reason # 19 - Because I can!

I challenge you to write your own list of 100 reasons to live and then let me know how it goes.

Sounds like a novel idea! I have never heard of writing so many before. Maybe more people will give it a try.

One of mine is to recover. That means to learn how to cope with my Bipolar better so I can function in life and relationships better. Also to examine my anxiety and sometimes impulsive behavior more clearly.

Another is to have my own family someday (I hope within the next 10 years since I am 21 now).

I don't know if I could come up with 100, but the one I keep coming up with is: God isn't through with me yet.

I have to go with the hypomania, too! That's a great way to start off the list.

Thanks for this idea. I've been having a hard time recently, and it has been exacerbated by stress from finals and being behind in class. I really needed this idea.

I was only able to come up with 50 now (I'll work on the other half later). One of mine was "my future children wouldn't even be given the chance to exist".

I feel so much more hopeful after completing that exercise. Again, thanks!
