So Hi! This is my second time posting here I have been diagnosed with bipolar with everything. So I guess I need help with some things, I am really bad at coping with stuff even just stress I usually respond by self-medicating or becoming suicidal/very very depressed or becoming extremely angry or self-destructive. I am guessing this is not normal, I also have troubles with sleep but lithium helps ALOT with that. I have problems trusting people so I usually isolate myself when the above happens which is probably not a good idea, my psychologist told me I never really connected with my parents growing up so maybe that is why I can't trust people and I grew up being suicidal for years like starting at 14 so I don't know. I get paranoid about people too I'm guessing this is a symptom, as well as impulsive and obsessive but I think the lithium is helping a lot with all of this but I don't know I need help I guess I feel lost my psychologist/therapist says I'm doing better but I still have these problems and its frustrating I just want to get better but it seems so oooooo difficult.

Is lithium the only med you are currently taking? If not, what are you taking?

It is difficult dealing with so many things. I would try to just look at one thing at a time and focus on that. Looking at the big picture can be overwhelming.

You might try relaxation CDs or apps for your phone. They can really help when you are feeling out of control or stressed. Focus on calming your breathing and you will find that it helps you be more relaxed.

sorry to hear that you are going thru so much. I too am struggling with a lot of crap. my problem too is that they cant label it. so im being treated i guess for a lot of things that may or maynot be wrong with me outside physical stuff. I hope that this forum helps you as for me, im still kind of out there. I really havent posted regarding my issues, i do however find it helpful to chat with others here in the chat room. again, i wishing you all the best and hope that docs and therapist find the perfect fit for you.
