Have been experiencing anxiety at work and the numbness, butterfingers, fighting back tears, and shakiness just isn't conducive to waiting tables. At home the only symptom I tend to get is the feeling of an elephant sitting on my chest (which I have right now). Last night I took a xanax at work and it helped some. Thinking going back on prozac might help. This is awful- I hate going in to work now. Even typing this my fingers don't want to co-operate and I have to keep going back to fix things. I dislike not feeling in control of my hands and my body

Anxiety does suck and is especially bad when it affects you at work.
I have found that making sure I'm taking deep breaths helps. I tend to hold my breath when I'm anxious. I practice when I'm not anxious so I can better use it when anxious. I hope you feel better soon.

I get the elephant on the chest feeling too. And the holding back tears. I also get an upset stomach from anxiety and it sucks. I'm sorry you're going through all this. I hope you feel better soon!
