Possible trigger for violence.

So I've had a certain type of dream that has been recurring for the past two weeks. The dream varies in the type of situation I'm in, but it always contains the same elements. In the dream I'm doing something somewhere and something happens to piss me off when that something happens, I completely lose my s***. I scream at the top of my lungs and attack the person who made me angry. I mean full on attack - I grab their hair and slam their face into the ground; I smack them in the face, I punch and kick, all the while screaming. Last night I was fighting my husband because he abandoned me in a restaurant to go hang out with his friends, but the other night I was fighting my mom because she said some *****y things about my husband. Sometimes I'm fighting strangers because they said something to me in a store or something.

I've had these dreams for years. I call them my screaming dreams. What I've found is that they only occur when I am in a negative mood state or I am super stressed out. In fact when I have one I always wake up and try to figure out what's bothering me because obviously I'm Repressing something.

Thing is I've been stable for a month now! Truly! I'm definitely not depressed or angry. But I've had a lot of these dreams in the past couple of weeks so something must be going on. I guess maybe I'm repressing all the stress of my husband losing his job and our financial situation being tenuous at best because Ive been out of work too. Maybe I need to talk about it more?

Does anyone else ever get a recurring dream or a recurring element of a dream that indicates a specific mood state?

dreams is just your mind trying to work out issue in your head while u are asleep

if something is a repeating it is a factor in your life u are trying to figure out how to deal with so your mind is running different ideas and patterns in your sleep looking for a answer to what to do in real life

as what to do depends on the issue and what kind of life u are having.........play it out in your mind see what u can come up with to deal it .......then take the lessons u learned and apply it to the real thing to end the looping dreams

i never dream close the eyes open up 30 secs later and it been 8/10 hours ....the rare few times i do dream it is always fears and nightmares of the issue of life at that time

Maybe these are control dreams.

The dreams may be telling you that you need more control in your relations with them
