<font color="purple"> figured I was being a baby and needed to suck it up and go ahead and give this a try seeing as I wasn't getting anywhere with dr.... I am still not 100% comfy taking it, but didnt feel I had much of a choice, I need something and right now this is what he is willing to do fo rme.... Had the blood tests a cple weeks ago and today was the first day that I started taking it.... So we will see. I hope it works! </font>

I sure hope that this works for you as well as it works for me. It was a literal life-saver! (Tegretol is the brand name) I've been on it since 2003. Last summer I tried to wean myself off and fell flat on my face. Nearly went back to the hospital. My family went to the store and refilled my prescription and in a few days I was fine. very drowsy
slurring speech
nasuea

but I was told that this should only last at most a cple of weeks while my body gets use to it .... I am taking 600 mg a day.... I hope it works well too, and that there wont be too much playing around with the doses...</font>

I'm on Oxycarbamazepine (Trileptal) and I get most of those side effects, too. The nausea went away quickly. I had headaches, those went away too. I still get kind of 'drunk and stoned' about 20 minutes after taking it each day. It lasts for about 30 min. then goes away. Good luck with your new med.
