My therapist says I'm very good at telling when I'm getting delusional.

I often start out by feeling scared all the time, sometimes for weeks before any other symptoms start.

It sneaks up on me and I don't see it coming or arriving till I have a break or end up in the hospital.

If you could see a psychotic episode coming you'd stop it in its tracks and it wouldn't become an issue.

I've only had two and for both I had no idea I was psychotic until I was too deep into it to get out on my own.

this is why u use other ppl as sounding broads ( bounce ideas off them if they are crazy someone will slap u and go are u on crack what the hell is wrong with u)

most ppl can not tell until the break and the ride starts ....rare few can feel it coming on for reasons of detachment (the self effect is not a issue for them )

I can only describe what happens to me, call it what you will. I feel something strange, something is wrong a few hours before it hits. I start to feel disorientated, shakey, hot and cold, extremely dizzy and lightheaded, followed by what I can only describe as something similar to an out of body experience, where you feel like you are totally disconnected with the world around you. Like a ghost, seeing and hearing everything but not able to be a part of it, like you are floating in a bubble not able to touch anything. It scares the hell out of me and I am still working with my Pdoc to get it under control. Two maybe three hours notice, almost like withdrawal symptoms, only intensified.

I sure wish I could. Currently I only know AFTER the fact, which isn't terribly useful.

Thanks for posting that! It's exactly the way I feel before hand. I'll be on the lookout now. :-)

I can tell if I'm having some psychotic symptoms at a given time usually but not when I have a full episode.
