Hey! I haven't been on here in awhile but I have a question. Has anyone ever heard of soft bipolar and if so, what is it? My therapist suggested looking into it but she didn't have a lot of info and I can't seem to find very good stuff on the web. And my pdoc wants to give me a new diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. As far as I can tell, she's basing this solely on the fact that I self injure. She's a new doc - I've only seen her like 3 times. My therapist that I've been seeing for almost 7 years never mentioned me being borderline. So now I have possibly two different things. If anyone has any info on either one, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

What does your tdoc say of 7 years, when you mention the self injury to her what does she say? You may have both...I once was dianosed because of some self injury type behavior but it really is a more OCD thing. and I am bp1.
try googleing borderline personality..there will probably be quizes etc for you to take to.
what is important is to feel better. Many of the meds used to treat either disorder are the same...so feeling better is the goal.
WE all have issues and hopefully your therapist has helped you to work on them.
I wish you wellness.
