My GP Dr. prescribed me meds last month so I wouldn't have to deal with the stress of the mental unhealth center here. The meds are what I was on when I was in a nursing home for physical rehab in 2012 and then they had me on a blood pressure med for a stupid reason so I was tired all the time. Now I'm not on the blood pressure med and haven't been since I got out of there.
The previous paragraph and this one is a lead up to the question I want to ask. The meds I'm on now are Zyprexa and Celexa. The Zyprexa helps with sleep and I take it at night. The problem I am having is with the Celexa it's making me drowsy too. It's to the point where I fall asleep for a couple hours or more after taking it so now my sleeping schedule is messed up because I feel like sleeping most of the time. I'm a night owl anyway but I can't be sleeping this much. Has anyone else who's been on Celexa had it make them this drowsy and out of it? The night before last I tried taking the Celexa before bedtime, I skipped my Zyprexa and ended up sleeping for 12 hours. Still felt like a Zombie for hours after waking up too. ![]() |

It sounds like it is time for you to call your doctor and ask him to change your drugs. The two you are on are not working well together and that could become a real problem.

Can you take the Celexa at night? I take both drugs too but Celexa doesn't make me sleepy so I take it in the morning. It can have sedating effects in some people. You sound like one of them.
