anywhere from 9 - 12. Then I spend many hours during the day in bed not necessarily sleeping but staring at the wall/crying into my pillows. For me it's less about needing more sleep and more that I have no motivation to do anything, so laying around with no will becomes my main activity for the day (in sharp contrast to bursting out of bed after 5 hours with excited knots in my stomach ready to take on the day!)

No matter what state I am in I sleep about 7 hours at night. When I am depressed I add naps in to my day.

Yeah, it's amazing how long I can lay there and stare at nothing

It varies so much. Depressed, I've been known to sleep up to 14 hours, but there are other times when negative thoughts keep me up and I sleep nothing. I can't decide if that's actually a mixed state, though.

When I'm in a classic depressive episode I sleep roughly 16 hours a day. But it's not restful sleep, it's fitful and interrupted. Ugh!

No matter my state I rarely sleep much more than 5 hours. If I make it 7 than that's some pretty serious sleeping in for me.

My brain just triggers awake to what ever my schedule is normally. I always wake up before the alarm, which is at 4:30. Even if I go to bed at 12:30, I'll be awake in 4 hours even if I don't need/want to be. It's really annoying.

If I'm taking respiradal, I sleep 7 hours. Without it 5-6. Geodon 60 mg. made me sleep 13 hours. That's not going to work.

Mine also varies a lot. If depressed I'll sleep 12-20 hours/day. Hypomanic 4 hours. When I'm stable, 6-8 hours.
