Any thoughts on support group meetings? I've contemplated attending the local BP meetup for over a year now. Something holds me back though. One reason is that I worry my wife would be insulted that I am not talking to her about things going on in my head. I have longed to sit and talk for a long time now with someone who lives with BP too. I isolate and don't let people close and I wonder if attending a BP meetup might let me find a confidant. I worry that even with the confidentiality of the group it may just open another can of worms.

It does seem reasonable that one would be able to attend a support group, without jeopardizing the sanctity of their marriage Meetup? Sounds like a conundrum. Perhaps a repost, into Relationships and Communication can add further insight?

Hoping for the best outcome, for you!

I love my DBSA group members. We talk outside of group too and I like knowing someone understands and cares!
