I'm brand new to this website community and hopeful that maybe I've finally found a place I will be accepted for who I am and what I have rather than viewed as irrational, or a burden, disappointment, etc. I was diagnosed two years ago with Bipolar II. Which if anyone is curious is the same as bipolar except I don't experience full blown mania I experience hypomania and my depressive episodes tend to be more severe and longer lasting. I don't know anyone with bipolar disorder except my mother and she is in severe denial and will not take medication. She refuses to discuss even my condition with me and I feel I have no one to talk to or relate to. Just searching for similar peeps....

thanks!!

It's awesome to see you here crystal!

I don't really know / associate with bipolars in real life, well, none that have outright disclosed their diagnosis with me.

I guess that could be in part that I don't disclose my diagnosis to others either, but, that's just me, others are different and will quite happily share.

I'm glad you're here.

We understand you.
