I am on disability but I do work part-time in the medical field. In my personal life I find that I am somewhat deadened by the medication I take but in the workplace I am overly emotional and I lack confidence. If my day is structured with no surprises and no stress I function OK but throw me a curve ball at work and I don't handle myself the way I'd like to.

I'm new to this forum and am still trying to figure out how this works. I hope I've posted in the right place.

Welcome! It's a very lovely place here!

I would like to share my experience with bipolar interfering with my work.
I work as a Sales Associate at Dollar General. I would get in depressed moods where I would constantly call in at work. They are to the point where I'm possible going to get fired. They haven't been giving me hours. Like this week I have no hours. It's horrible, but I can always find another job.
It has also interfered with my college. I withdrew last semester. I'm back I'm school, but I missed like two weeks because my medicine needed to be stable. I went back today. My professors were very understanding.
