Has anyone tried this? Has it helped with Bipolar, depression or anxiety? Also I've noticed in a lot of forums people referring to pdoc. Is that psychiatrist or primary doctor?

I had acupuncture for almost a year and stopped. It may have helped a bit for anxiety but on a whole I didn't find it effective

I have tried acupuncture for anxiety. It has seem to work but I stopped going. Acupuncture is expensive and is not covered under health insurance.

I am thinking about going back. My anxiety has been bad lately and I need something to take the edge off.

Has anyone else had a positive experience?

Helped me lose weight and to some extent with pain.

I used to get acupuncture for fibromyalgia. It helped a fair amount. Sometimes if I was having anxiety, they would do needles for that, too, while I was there. It doesn't take very many needles or much time to do acupuncture for anxiety (a plus - it's very boring lying or sitting for 30 minutes with needles in you.)

I don't have extreme anxiety, so I can't say how well it would work for that.

I went to an acupuncture college for treatment, and the sessions only cost $25.

Have had it for chronic pain, anxiety & depression along with heat therapy-works very well for me-so far I have had 3 different types of insurance pay for it-I'm sure it is like most things & works well for some & not for others. It makes me feel very up & revitalized-I also listen to music during treatments.

I had it one time. I was on vacation and they had it at my hotel. It seemed to help with my digestion and a bit with back pain.

But It could have been psychosomatic.
