I still haven't been able to check myself in. I'm so depressed right now, I can't do ANYTHING. Posting anything at all took me 4 hours. I slept 14. Going to sit in support chat for a bit.

You said, "I can't do ANYTHING".
YOU CAN, please call your pdoc, family, friend, local hospital (many have a behavioural health department) or even 9-1-1.
Right now all may seem hopeless, dismal and never ending depression/frustration/isolation, etc. but there is hope, there is help, and it's out there.
My heart feels for you, I've been in a similar way, where the slightest effort is almost impossible, but really it is possible, and yes, the righ meds and pdoc CAN set you straight.
PLEASE don't give up, like so many of us, you too, can get through this, it may not be easy and quick, but you CAN do it. So many here at this forum can relate, even have been much worse off, so you are amongst those that truly understand.
As always, feel free to drop in at PC, and/or this forum, and talk things over.
Meanwhile, take care now.

Hey Goofygirl, please go check yourself in. It is hard to walk through those hospital doors but once you do...it makes all the difference when you have an entire medical team on your side. When I checked myself in, I pretended I was on vacation, a spa if you will. It worked. I came home refreshed and ready to take on the world...until I had another Major Depressive episode...the fight goes on sister. You will win!

SensibleGirl, BraveGirl is more like it. In checking yourself in, you are doing something I've only dreamed about/feared doing. Hugs and kudos

at the University of Iowa hospital. I almost bolted waiting in the E.R. My blood pressure was higher than I'd ever seen it during triage, and my pulse damn near matched the lower number, which was 40-50 points higher than my norm. I lucked out... there was one available bed in the three adult units here. They gave me my regular meds, plus Attavan to get me calmed down enough to go to sleep at around four by the time everything was said and done. Almost got moved to another hospital yesterday... insurance really irritates me! I'm still here... they're going to get me on state psych papers. I'm feeling a little better... the tweaking of the meds started last night. I'll more than likely be out Monday... that's a solid week outta work... I have NO clue what to do... I was already working from a hole... that's an entirely different story! There is a computer on the unit... I'll post again when I can... these chairs are a pain in the back! Thank you all!

Glad to see a post from you and that you are safe.
You made the best decision you could have made.
The tweeking of your meds will take a bit to kick in so be patient. Use all of the therapy there that you can get, coping strategies etc.
I am so glad that you are alive and well!
