I am selective about who I tell. People tend to make assumptions.
Thanks for this!

I thought I could be somewhat open about my illness but I was wrong I think ppl are gonna hold it against me and that sucks and they will blame an argument or nothing on me being bipolar and I just was called crazy by my in law behind my back over heard her telling that to my husband... The only reason they know about my illness is bc were living with them but that's the last straw I am not gonna live here anymore like how do you think I feel ? You think I want this I have a illness and for you to call me crazy behind my back hurts so I don't think I could take more ppl not being my friend anymore if they found out if I was bipolar or saying crap behind my back

Get this. I thought I had a friend. When I mentioned I "may" get ssdi, he mentioned calling the hotline for reporting people. The last time he called, he ripped me a new rear end saying I just don't want to work and am lazy. Heck, Imwas very active while manic, however bad back limits me. Long story short, I told him how I felt which included some choice words. I figure I won't hear from him fornquite a while. He's always been the type to get under your skin. My therapist had told me to tell him I'm busy when he would call me, but I don't lie well at all. That's the same reason I've bombed at selling cars twice.

So to summarize, I will tell no one else. And if I somehow get blessed to receive ssdi, I have a couple of good stories I will when asked what I do for a living. I''m a very poor liar, but I'm determined to lie about my mental condition.

For me, I am just an extremely open person and I would rather know where I stand with people. If someone is going to judge me for being unstable or crazy, I would rather know right off the bat.

I completely understand that some do not like to tell others.

I think it is a personal choice.
Thanks for this!

Girl you need to pack up your stuff right now and get your butt to a hotel or something until you leave in the a.m. You tell you husband he should be standing up for you and defending you to his family. The way they are treating you is WRONG! Its sad and disturbing that he is letting them do this to you, his WIFE. I'm so very sorry they are putting you through this. Remember, we are all here for you to talk/vent to! Keep your chin up girl!

I now have an old fishing pal, who calls me and tells me I'm a mental health mf. Exact words. I took this piece of white trash to see his dying kid in the hospital out of the kindness of my heart twice and one time we had had an ice storm.

When he told me that today, I pondered it a while and texted him what a boss told me once when he fired me after having some personal non work related issues. We got to part ways.

HAS MY MENTAL SHAPE ALWAYS MADE ME A TARGET FOR TRASH WHO ARE ONLY OUT TO USE ME?
