Hey all,

Recently was put on Latuda for bpII along with gabapentin and wellbutrin.

IN the last week, I have found that I am waking up at odd hours and starting my day. Like the other night I woke up and started to feed the dogs at like 4:30 am.

Last night I woke up an 1:30 and started to grind coffee for the morning until my wife asked me what I was doing.

I remember knowing what I was doing, but when I finally heard my wife after she called a couple times I felt like I was waking up.

Anyone else sleepwalk cuz of their Mood Stabilzing drugs?

Oh and other than that, the drug is great!

Eeeks! My experience with Latuda is that I was only able to sleep 4 hours a night. I'd wake up every hour from wild vivid dreams in a cold sweat. After 4 days, I was so tired, I quit it so I can get my normal 6 hours in.

I'm so glad it works great for you! Sleepwalking would kinda freak me out. I can't really take antipsychotics, but I'm good with that.

Thanks for asking this Angry.

There are some great resonses.

Sometimes something as simple as adjusting the time of day that I take helps meds?

Hang in there and work with your pdoc

I got horrible akathisia on it. But the psych nurse I was seeing at the time put me on way too high of a dose. I was on 80 mgs and she increased it from 40 to 80 way too fast. I was also on a high dose of an AD. My new pdoc said being on a high dose of both of those caused the severe akathisia. I had a hard time sleeping on it too. But I never sleep walked, that I remember...

How long after you started have your eyes been twitching, and did you go up on the dosage? My left eye has started to twitch but only after going up to 60mg.

Eye twitches huh? Never had those.

Back when I drank and got blottoed, I would sleep walk and do add things. This is kinda like that, with similar feelings.

I wonder if my doc might tell me not take the gaba with it at night.

Overall it's been a wonder drug for me. Puts my just in the range of energetic, but not hypo-manic.

I've been on Latuda 2-3 weeks and so far so good. I felt hypo for a couple of days, but things evened back out a bit. I feel so much more energetic on it. Lamictal was starting to make me tired and out of it for some weird reason. Don't miss it or the acne it gave me either.

Agreed on the energy thing. Feel much more with it on it.
