I love my new pdoc! I just saw him for the first time. It was a discharge appt because I was IP last month. I didn't expect much to happen today because our first official evaluation appt is next month but... Someone has finally listened! He's letting me stop lithium. He told me how to taper down and I will be off of it in less than two weeks! Then he's starting me on trileptal. I see him again in six weeks and maybe then I won't have to take zyprexa he said cause it's causing weight gain (of course!!).

I'm really excited he listened to my concerns. I don't like being on so many meds and I am because any time something has happened-they just added another med. he seems super nice and open to changing things!

I'm in a great mood today and this has made it even better!

That's great to hear!!! It always helps when someone actually hears us. I'm so glad you found someone you like and that seems to agree with your goals.

Awesome girlfriend! Finding a good pdoc is a hard thing to come by. I'm so happy for you. Being on so many meds sounds extremely toxic to me. Sometimes I wonder if the meds exasperates the symptoms. Like my AD dose gives me a slight manic edge. Keep us posted!

It's great isn't it! Finding Pdocs that accually listen and don't whip the RX pad out the minute you walk in. That's great, I'm glad you find one.

Just 150mg for three days....then increase to 300mg for three days...increase by 150mg every three days til I'm up to 300 mg three times a day. I don't think it made me tired. It was a passing thought. Still excited about it!!!

I take 300mg in the morning and 600mg at night. Doesn't make me tired. I can't remember if it did when I first started it or not. The only side effect I have is maybe a little acne ☺
