I feel so impatient and short-tempered. I feel like I'm always yelling at my son and keep getting so worked up of stupid stuff at home. It's getting intense. Feel like a horrible mother right now. EVERYTHING bothers me. I think it's been a everyday for over a week and getting worse. Feel like I'm just going to explode.

I went off Lamictal and started Latuda a few weeks ago. Wonder if maybe that has something to do with it??

Hmm... maybe? It sounds like a symptom/side effect. I have had issues with irritability for months now and it is out of my character so for me it is a symptom.

Can you talk to pdoc about it? I took latuda in the past but saw no noticeable improvement so I didn't continue taking it. I hope thing straighten up for you!

I'm sorry you're going through this...I know how it is. Irritability has been one of my worst problems...I can be THE biggest ****** to the people I love the most. Can't tell you how often I have to apologize for my behavior. Have you told your pdoc about it yet? I had one doctor tell me to really watch the irritability cause it could lead to something more serious.

Anyway, hope the Latuda works out for you.
Thanks for this!

I went off of it because I was starting to feel spaced out after taking it. I was always so fatigued, which I never would have linked to Lamictal, but my energy came back when I stopped taking it. Not sure that either are common side effects to Lamictal. Somewhat strange because I took it for three years, most of that time without side effects. I always had bad acne on it though. I get it with Trileptal too. I was taking both, so the acne was BAD.

Irritability is a very serious symptom. When are you seeing your pdoc next? It is best to get on top of this asap. Take care

I had my latuda increased a few weeks ago and that helped the irritableness.

I may call my pdoc. Maybe we can try increasing. I only take 20mg. I hate to give up and try something else yet. So many meds make me tired. I just saw him like a day or two before I started getting like this. He doesn't take insurance so I really don't want to have go in for an appointment yet.

Just wanted to update:

I did not end up calling my pdoc. I'm kind of glad I didn't.

The irritability is subsiding, and I feel GREAT. Might have been one of those side effects you just have to deal with while your body adjusts to a new med. I haven't felt this good in years. And I'm sleeping great. I feel like ME again. Woo hoo!
