Isolation has created a void in my life. I get along with anyone. I however can't allow Anyone to get close to me in fear of their misunderstanding who I am. I hope daily to befriend another with BP with Hopes of spending time with someone understands the struggles. But that's hard being that most who suffer from BP don't come up to you and say "hi, I've got BP". Ugh.

Are there any support groups in your area? That might be a way to meet someone who understands the struggles you face.

Yeah, there's DBSA meetup weekly. I've thought about going for quite a while but haven't taken that step yet. I get notifications weekly and always think of going, but when the time comes I end up staying home.

(((Supersonic))))

Remember you always have our support here.

Might be worth your while just to "pop in" to one of the meet up groups - doubt there'd be any long term comittments; you could just see what it's like.

Well, attended my first DBSA meetup. Nice to get around some people who know.

I know what you mean. But you can always create friendships where common hobbies exist? Then later down the line you might find out that they too have struggles of their own!

Once a week or so, you could visit distant support group and see how your first experience will be. There are people who are not comfortable interacting with close social groups relating to a problem that they have maybe due to fear of stigmatization, so A DP support group that is away from your home area could work...

And I discovered that my castles stand

I am glad that you attended your first meeting.

That is good to hear.
