Today I had a session with my psychologist and we talked about my lack of drive or following through working out or going to my martial arts class. I informed her I always want to go, but as the day progresses I get sleepy discouraged and think of other excuses not to go. Then that night I am re-motivated but I lose it when the time comes. The classes are only at night. I did some research because she asked me about motivation and tiredness. I found 2 of the above. Is anyone on any of these or other medicine that wake you up make you focus and motivated. Any experiences. Thank you all for viewing and sharing your experience.

Latuda 40mg
Wellbutrin 150 mg
Zoloft 100 mg
Klonopin 1 mg prn

I'm on Adderall, but it won't do anything for resolve.

You have to be resolved to do your workout and go to your martial arts class, in spite of being sleepy, discouraged, and demotivated. You actually have to still overcome all those things while on Adderall. Sure, it's easier at first, but you build up a tolerance and then it gets harder again.

Pure will is always what it comes down to. You just have to force yourself, without thinking, without listening to your rationalizations, without falling prey to the "Yeah but I'm tired," routine. It's all self-defeating. The first few steps away from that behavior, in each direction you take toward a new goal, are always the hardest. But it gets easier.

How often do you take Klonopin? I see it's PRN, but how often do you take it? Do you think that might be a reason for the sleepiness?

Cymbalta, 60mg -- for the depression.
Latuda, 40mg -- for the paranoia (delusional type).
Adderall, 40mg XR & 5 mg reg -- for the ADD.
Xanax, .5 mg as needed -- for the anxiety.
Topamax, 50mg -- still figuring this one out.

MDD, but possibly have some form of Bipolar Disorder. Then again, I could be paranoid . . .

Well, at least I still have my sense of humor.
Thanks for this!

I don't even attempt activities in the evening. During the day i am eager to go out and be active, but once night falls i am extremely reluctant to go out. When i worked i would do aerobics during my lunch hour. Could you do something like that?

I tried Provigil once and it triggered a manic episode. Adderall is an amphetamine. I wouldn't rely on either of these drugs for fear that they would work for a while, possibly elevating you into a hypomanic or manic state in which you are able to resume your martial arts, only to crash eventually from the inevitable depression that follows. You're already taking four psychotropics; maybe you could consult with your pdoc about tweaking your antidepressants to help your fatigue. As Velouria pointed out, the Klonopin could be sapping your energy or motivation.

The klonopin is as needed maybe once or twice a week. My pdoc wants me to stop wellbutrin and has been weaning me off. I think next visit she will put me off it.

Do you think the provigil could work as a as needed. I also do shift work which may be contributing to my sleepy fatigue. I also take AMBIEN when I'm off schedule to sleep. What do you think? Thanks again.
