((((((((((((((((((((((Lexi)))))))))))))))))))))) It is so hard when you are hurting so much. It sounds like you are seeing a pdoc. Is it possible to talk to them and see if maybe your meds can be tweeked? sometimes that really helps. I hope things are easier today. Take care.

I don't want to make it worse for you, but my Pdoc has been tweaking my meds for 6 months now. I don't think there is a depression med out there to help me. I'm done. Went off my meds today.

Hi Lexi232!

Yes...it does get better.
I was dx @ Christmas 06 with BP2, during a severe depression. It is May now & I am hopefully stable. I did have a mild depressive 5 day episode a few weeks ago,,but ut didnt go any deeper than mild.

I am sure this was due to my med mix...and my acceptance of my dx.
I do still have mood swings (hypomania>depression) however these are manageable. Are you on meds Lexi?
I read you have a PDoc appt in August..

Could your GP help you until you see the PDoc? They will often prescribe an antidepressant first....then your PDoc adds on following your assessment. IT IS BETTER ON YOUR MEDS for sure.!

I am sorry you feel so bad. Beliebve me, I totally understand your feelings....but it CAN & DOES get better.
Take care...

Hey, Lexi I'm from IN as well & yes, it does get better, but you have to be very patient. It took a year of trial & error to get me on the meds I am today. They are helping.--Suzy

Everyone is different they say, but, I can honestly say it does get better. I was diagnosed 2 months ago and this is a condition I have lived with and didn't know I had until then. I had hit bottom...and everything came to a halt. Not only am I BP but have DID and PTSD. I'm on meds now...trial and error in finding the right ones, but it is so much better right now! Things just snowballed and I couldn't snap out of it......I haven't worked since my diagnosis. It's tough, but I needed the rest. Take care and don't quit the meds!

rebeccca,
am sorry that you have gone off your meds, some of them need to be tapered off and can have devastating withdrawl side effects.
I hope that you have informed your doctor of this...
I wish you wellness.
