Hello everyone!
I'm sorry i'm late with this thread but what a horrible day it's been. A day where you question what you're really doing with your life. Couldn't find much strength to get up but i felt that i needed to continue this daily thread so maybe you can express your feelings and feel better like i do. I don't know if i'm actually helping anyone but i feel good everytime i hear your stories and know i'm not alone.
How are you feeling today?

Had to go into the outside world today and face people. Took some diazepam before I went out, handled it like a champion and now I'm back home I get to sit down feeling pretty smashed for the rest of the day.

Congratulations! I know how tough it can be when you're down, you should feel very proud of yourself.

Yeah I'm good.

I took a few knocks but such is life.

Just dust myself off.

Keep moving forward.

I just want to address how you are questioning what you are doing with your life. I think you are doing exactly what you should be doing right now. Take some time to get to know what BP means to you, and think about how you are going to manage it the best way for you.( I have the same feeling sometimes, especially triggered by other people saying exactly that to me).

I know what my BP means it's just that it sets me back from a lot of things i want to do and i see all these people succeeding and i'm the one left behind because of my illness...

Try not to compare yourself with others. Everybody has their problems. Other people can look very succesful on the outside, but we never know what they are struggling with. Life has taught me that a lot of the time a successful facade is often just that, a facade... I have girlfriends who are abused by their husbands or boyfriends, who have been molested as children, etc, and they certainly look very successful to the outside world. Making money, job, nice house and nice children, etc. But inside those four walls a lot of really bad stuff might be going on. I am often told that I cant`t possibly have a MI, because I don`t "look" like it. I guess I am one of those people who can put on a nice facade to the world. And then when I don`t have to anymore, my energy is spent on that, and I fall completely to pieces. People see me in my good periodes, and then I probably look like I got everything together
Thanks for this!

I put on a pretty good facade too. :/ I've been told "How can you have BP? You look fine!" I guess everyone can hide behind a mask.. Thank you for your advice.

A bit of brain-fog But another gorgeous day outside and luckily I have to go outside wether I want to or not. I have to drive somewhere, even though I probably shouldn`t... But sometimes things just have to get done. My son is coming to stay with me for two weeks, and the fridge is pretty much empty. So got to get some food in the house. Teenage boys eat a lot!!! But looking forward to him staying here for two whole weeks. Happy about that!

Homeira - Wanted to add, really liked the quote you shared on my freaking out thread. Actually wrote it down. I'm on my phone and sometimes it doesn't let me reply. Anyway, thanks.
Thanks for this!

Mood wise I'm so-so today. Kind of nervous because I have a phone interview for a full-time job in about 45 minutes. Physically, I'm kind of tired. I've been waking up later these days too. I tend to think it might be the Topamax I started to take at night for migraine. Hopefully my body will adjust.

Kind of frustrated because I've had migraines/severe headaches every day for the past 2-1/2 weeks, and the medication my neurologist has given me, including the pain medication, isn't really helping. Doesn't help my mood any.

I'm glad to see you're happy. My two little brothers eat so much too, especially all the sweets! Have fun with your son.

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well... I hope you adjust to your medication soon and get some pain relief from the migraines. Good luck on your job interview, you'll ace it.

Thanks for the encouragement. I thought I actually did pretty well on the interview. Will find out next week if I make it to the next step.

Still waiting to hear back from my neurologist about getting something for the pain.

Have you tried acupuncture for your headaches/migraines? It helps a lot of people! Defenately recommend that you give it a try. I had acupuncture during labor, and it was a pretty long and hard birth. It helped me with the pain.
I also got tipped off about finding pressure points for relief for headache. I find it helpful. Doesn`t remove it, but makes it somewhat more bearable. Try breathing-exercises also. The most unusual advice I have gotten about relieving a headache was to eat 8-9 almonds when one feel it coming on. So I tried it, figured it would do me no harm even if it didn`t work. But lo and behold! It worked! (maybe it was working on the psychological effect... but whatever works, right?). I am all for trying my home-remedies before I run to the medicine-cabinet!

Thanks for the advice. I'm desperate, when pain meds don't even work! Maybe I'll go online and see who does acupuncture in town.

Massaging your temples with peppermint-oil is supposed to help. But don`t use undiluted essential oil. That is very strong!
