I have bipolar I and also ADHD. My question is, how do you know if your symptoms are for ADHD or hypomania? I'm on vyvanse but I'm not 100% sure I even have ADHD - I feel like my symptoms are more hypomania - my Dr. thinks I have both.
This is how I constantly feel if I don't take my meds: Can't sit still at all - I am always kicking my foot, cracking my knuckles, standing up/down while at work, shaking my arms b/c of inner restlessness I also feel the need to chain smoke and/or drink to go to sleep I'm not a good sleeper - If I fall asleep I either wake up really early or wake up like every hour I can't stop talking literally - people have a hard time understanding me because I talk so fast.. and I switch subjects so rapidly (or so I'm told) - or my words come out of my mouth out of order or jumbled and people think I'm insane and/or laugh. I can't concentrate b/c my ideas are all over the place - as we speak, I'm at work with literally 9 tabs open on my browser. That pretty much sums up my life. Distracted by everything - even people laughing irritates me sometimes. Also, I get my work done way before anyone else - the rest of the people on my "team" at work always need help - I do my work and theres with time to play on line (obviously) Helpppppppppppp I can't sit still. Does anyone relate??

sounds more like hypomania to me just by the way you describe you're speech i have adhd and when im hyper and excited i tend to dominate and control conversions don't really let anyone else get a word in blurt stuff out and interrupt others dont really listen to what others say either
