My internist thinks I'm bipolar. I think not. Never experienced mania. Unless you count the drug induced event after I was rx'd a "cocktail".

An internist is probably not the best qualified to be diagnosis a psychiatric illness. Could you get a second opinion from a psychiatrist?

Internists are not experts in psychiatric disorders. Ask yours for a referral to a good psychiatrist; it's well worth the cost and your insurance should cover most of it. Good luck!

Agreed with the people above me. My testing that I had done gave me conclusive answers to my problems. It should rule out any other disorders and give you a very accurate read out. I was very happy I did it. I had many therapist tell me I was bipolar but doing the testing really gave me a good readout of what was going on. It even brought to light other problems I had. Hope this helps
