My anxiety with this stupid illness destroys me. I get myself all worked up over everything. I read a side effect of something and boom I have it, at least I convince myself I do. I get a call from my boss, boom I'm getting fired. Tickets to a concert, boom panic attack don't even get in the car to go. Simple tasks that everyday people get through seem to do and enjoy just weigh so much on me and ppl don't get it. My brother is great to me but I get this "snap out of it" mentality from him, even my mother. It's like people think I do it things bc I want to or can control my emotions. I just can't get my mind straight. It could be worse. Just a ranting vent. Thank you for reading. I hope everyone here has a good night n

I know I get angry at myself because I can't control my anxiety. I remember a time when I wasn't like this, but not anymore. Others just don't understand what it's really like to not be able to control their feelings. I get it. I can't get out of my head either.

Vent Vent Vent !!! I understand how your feeling ! There is no magic wand, Altho I do have my wand from Happy Harry Potter land ! lol ... Nah ok to be serious... You can't change your reaction to all the stuff at once, Small steps, one day at a time. Can you set small attainable goals?

Have you tried CBT for some of those things? Can be very helpful.

I can totally relate. I used to get anxious above everything, just stupid mundane tasks made me anxious! It was horrible.

(But now my meds have finally kicked in and my anxiety has lessened significantly! Such a relief.)
