Just lying here trying to turn it all off. I get my second wind once everyone else is asleep and it is quiet and I am alone. I swear I could pop off to a dance class right at bedtime. But alas. I have to go to sleep. I love getting in bed and reading but for some reason I just drrrrrraaaaggg my feet getting there. Maybe it's the transition. I don't transition well and I'm distractible.
Blah anyway. I think the melatonin is kicking in. Sweet dreams friends. |

Same here. Except for the reading in bed thing. Usually I figure I'll just read this bit more. Then, well, a little more, and next thing you know it's 3 am!

I get in bed when I take my meds, kinda makes a nice transition point for me personally. Then I tell myself stories!! I fall asleep to my own stories

Well if melatonin works for you, then it can't be that serious
![]() I usually need a lot more then that. So I can relate. |

Just because melatonin works does not mean its not a serious sleeping problem. I meditate when I cant sleep, or kind of lucid dream, its fun. |

same. recently, i've been reading the dragon's den book (dragon's den being a UK tv series) and the book's about how the dragons became milionairs to begin with always find myself reading more than i set out to do. 1 chapter becomes 30 strange thing is i can't focus to read during the day at all think it's not so much i want to read, but what else do you do with yourself when you can't sleep. |

Yes I love the lucid dreaming thing. Kinda like the story thing. I agree about the melatonin too. I think that my circadian rhythms are just off. I need help every night basically. Left to my own devices I would probably fall asleep around 1. But I have three children and they get up early so I can't really do that. |

I absolutely CANNOT fall asleep without reading. Like if I can't read I have a big problem. If I have finished a book and don't have another I am lost in the night. However I cannot read anything exciting or adventurous or the least bit tense or anything. I need a balance. It has to be just interesting enough without being a page turner. I read until my eyes close. I don't know any other way. |

I did that as a child. I even used my hands to make people act it out. Lol
