I got this from a Bipolar support facebook page and the responses were great. Thought it would be nice to hear peoples answers on here too.

Ha! For real. This would be great.

I think this might have to be my answer as well for now.

Maybe that the anger when I'm up/mixed is more aimed at myself than other people. It's the lack of control (I think) that frustrates me and other people being around, no matter how nice they are, are just caught up in the mix (so to say). But I don't really know. If I think of anything else that makes more sense, I'll post it.

I can be impulsively destructive - I'm pretty much a risk taker by nature - throw mania in the mix and I will stop at nothing to get what I want

I don't know what the point of me saying that was really. Probably none other than certain characteristics that are inherent within me will magnify themselves ten fold when manic.

This guy nailed it

What is the one thing....

I guess what I really want them to know is that they can't ever really understand what it is like. It doesn't matter if they take a class of read a book or work with patients. Nobody know what it is like for us except for us. Period.
Thanks for this!

Yes, Hooligan! (Sorry, I'm not quite sure how to technically quote you on this site) but what you said about certain inherent characteristics being magnified is something I've notices/believed for a long time.

I want them to understand that just because they can't see my problems, it doesn't mean they don't exist.
Thanks for this!

I agree with Hooligan completely. I become "Myself X 100" when manic.

It's not personal, and no I can't always control it. I'm not on meds because I love supporting big pharma.

I want people to understand that being psychotic isn't going out and shooting a bunch of people.

(Sorry. I think people are scared of us and think we're all dangerous or something.)
