Okay, for today here's mine:

GREAT HEART - Johnny Clegg and Savuka

The world is full of strange behaviour
Every man has to be his own saviour
I know I can make it on my own if I try
But I'm searching for a Great Heart to stand me by
Underneath the African sky
A Great Heart to stand me by

What is your theme song?

this is a fun read. I love to hear everybody's.

Jacky's is an especially good one

I think my less upbeat one would be "Sober" by Pink

"
When it's good, then it's good, it's so good till it goes bad
Till you're trying to find the you that you once had
I have heard myself cry, never again
Broken down in agony just tryna find a friend"

I think really my theme song is 'Need you now' by Plumb.

She wrote about her panic attacks.

Birds of Tokyo - Lanterns

Lately I've found
When I start to think aloud
There's a longing in the sound
There is more I could be
In darkness I leave
For a place I've never seen
It's been calling out to me
That is where I should be

This changes a lot.
Mania, definitely Ring of Fire by the one & only Johnny Cash. "I fell into a burning ring of fire"
Andy Grammar's song, particular the chorus, "Better men then me have failed"
And Taylor's new song, "Bad Blood." I know it's technically about hating on a former friend- but it describes my dynamic with my ex so well, "Did you think we'd be fine? Still got scars on my back from your knife.. So don't think it's in the past, these kinda wounds they last and they last."

Stairs, to nowhere climb
I take them, all the time
Crawling on my knees
Walking that old fine line

And when I'm alone and scared
I think up little rhymes
They would make no sense to you
But I make them all the time

And time is all mine
And time is all mine

It's the little pills you find
Crushed to dust, rolling out of sight
They end up in the strangest places
But I take them all the time

When everyone, is false
I tell them I'm just fine
I can't, remember their names
But I fake them all the time

And when I'm alone and scared
I think up little rhymes
They would make no sense to you
But I make them all the time

Ooo I forgot I love this song. It's called Wait by Seven Mary Three. I tried to pick out the best line and realized I relate to the whole dang thing. It makes me kinda sad though because I loved it before my dx when I thought I just had these demons that I would be rid of someday when everything got itself together in my life.

And I thought the lyrics were "what follows you does not follow you" ....and to me that meant it would be gone.

Not so much. But it is beautiful

I imagine long walks down the road. Things begin to bloom and the sky explodes.

The damage is undone, and then I know. This has got to be a dream.

Machines and luxuries don't last. I took my sleep for granted in the past.

And I woke up half-dead in the hourglass. Why does that sound funny?

Wait, you're almost there it's gone. You're almost there it's gone.

You're almost where what follows you, does not bother you.

I have walked the tightrope parts of me. I towed the line just far enough to see.

I never found a gift you get for free. You pay for them dearly.

I see my forever as one long night. If I can make it dark then I can make it light.

I know that most of living done is done in the mind. Only thought survives.

Are you tired? Are you uninspired? Has the miscommunication tried to eat you up inside.

I am here, and you are here. And everything I want to know. Sleeps between your ears.

"Fight Song" by Rachel Platten

"And all those things I didn't say
Wrecking balls inside my brain
I will scream them loud tonight
Can you hear my voice this time

This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I'm alright song
My power's turned on
Starting right now I'll be strong
I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me.."

"Row Jimmy" - 3/20/77 live at Winterland (The Grateful Dead)

A moving song, a mellow groove, and a jaw dropping second guitar solo.

I say row, Jimmy, row,
Gonna get there, I don't know,
Seems a common way to go,
Get out and row, row, row, row, row.
