BIPOLAR BASICS 101
State a random fact about BP and then bounce out to a new thread.  I would love for some rather ignorant people I know to know the basics about this disorder. Grrrr.

Certain antipsychotics will make me put on a kilo or two.
Deal with it. Mental health over the extra kilo anyday. (Ps: not tooooooo many though )

While most people who suffer Bipolar have only have one manic/ depressed episode a year. Ultra- ultra rapid cycling individuals can experience a day to day shift between moods.

Bipolar used to be called "manic depression", and some people, myself included, prefer that term.

Trial & Error. Extreme fear of the episode happening again. Multiple meds to find the right regimen. Sometimes told you're unstable and need to be admitted while all you want is to be with your pets.

Bipolar can take a while to diagnose. It took over 5 years for me to be officially diagnosed Bipolar II.

I'm not going to remember things like: Where my car keys are Where my mobile phone is Where we keep the remote for the tv
