For the most part my bipolar has been well controlled for the last seven years but for a number of months now I sleep a lot and feel mildly depressed. A couple months ago my pdoc added Wellbutrin which did not help my depression but it did suppress my appetite which I need.

Last week I saw my pdoc and he wants me to stop my selegiline (to prevent drug interactions) and start Viibryd on Aug 1. I'll take 10mg first week, 20mg second week and then report email him how it works for me. I read that 40mg is typical maintenance dose and I am wondering how quickly I can expect to experience improvement in mood.

I have slept all day and worried about a yellow jacket infestation on my front porch (my son got stung twice in the face this morning) and though I need to pick up house clutter before trash pickup Tue morning I can't do it. I got up and sat in my chair for five minutes and went back to bed. I'm back up and played a video game I enjoy but only enjoyed it for fifteen minutes before I wanted to go back to bed.

Not sure if weaning the selegiline is dropping my mood or if it is more about the yellow jackets. I used to at least enjoy being on the internet/gaming but right now I don't.

Has anyone used Viibryd? Your experience?

Anyone got any advice/support?

I don't have any personal experience with this med but hopefully others that may have tried it in the past can come forward with some suggestions

I don't know about that med but it sounds like you might be more than mildly depressed. You may want to try to force yourself to do a little cardio every day while you are waiting for your new med to titrate--get that serotonin flowing. Hang in there
