Saw my pdoc today and he wouldn't take me off lamictal. *kicks shins*

He said my brain isn't working right because I just had a psychotic break and every time that happens it damages the brain a bit. He told me to exercise 30 mins a day and start taking saffron. I'm going to get some tomorrow when my husband gets paid. If that doesn't work, there's another supplement I can try. If all else fails, he said I can do ECT. I just want my brain to work and not take 2 years to recover from this like the last time.

He also said I could file for disability. At least that's something to feel happy about. Apparently I'm in a mixed state. Those are always so much fun. FUN FUN FUN.

It's always frustrating when I doctor doesn't take your opinion into account when it comes to treatment. You are paying them. I have a background in Counseling (was going for my Master's), so whenever I see a psychiatrist it is really important to me that I have some say in the direction of my treatment. I also know the DSM really well and research every medication I take.

I'm sorry Lamictal doesn't seem to be working for you. I was just put on it, so, I'm hoping that it helps me, as I've constantly cycled through hypomanic and depressive states non-stop my entire life.
