I'm about to go in for day 1 of orientation for my new job and I just have this BAD feeling that something is going to go wrong. Like there will be an issue with my paperwork or I'll forget to fill out a form properly or something.

I should be happy that I finally have work, but all I feel is anxious and paranoid. Will report back later to let everyone know how it goes...

Good luck with the orientation. It is not rare that our minds cause us so much stress before big events. Most of the time it just causes us unnecessary anxiety.

You'll feel better when it's over! I can totally relate. Just remember that you're thoughts are not the reality- I'm sure the other new employees are nervous too. Congrats, good luck, and kick some ***!

Good news -- the orientation actually went smoothly. The job is lame, but should help me get the bills paid for the next couple of weeks. It's a dishwashing job at a fast food place -- not at all glamorous (especially considering I have a frickin' degree!) but I'm hoping that just getting back to work and out of the house will be a good/healthy change of pace.

So glad it went well!

And don't get bogged down in "lame" etc. Proud of you. Hope it works out well and the change of pace is very positive for you!
