Sorry I didn't see this got approved. I've been Dxed for about a year, thought I question it and currently feel like my behavior is due to curcumatance. If that makes sense.

Like I said, no meds currently. I guess the question is have anyone have any question to their diagnosis?

Welcome to PC.

I think everyone questions their diagnosis.
I did even though I was found in an extreme manic episode and hospitalized.
I still question it even though I clearly have episodes of mania and depression. Maybe it is denial...

Why do you question your diagnosis?

Well, I just don't feel like I fit the criteria for mania or hypomania. Sure I get energetic and irritable or maybe think to much sometimes, but I have never done anything to extreme.

I also have trouble accepting that everything else in medicine has a definite test, while mental illnesses are simply someone saying this is what they feel about you and your life. Who are they to say that I am different and have a problem?

I've gotten 3 diagnosis. One at a phyc dr office, one in the hospital, and then another phyc office. But they all just listened to the same story. I guess I have a problem with them not knowing all the conditions and circumstances. Idk. I guess your right about the extremes. I'm just so lost.
