Today was bad. I didn't do anything but I felt worse and got a lot more lonely than I usually feel. I strive to have a relationship, but it's been almost 3 years since I hit bottom and had a girlfriend. It hurts sometimes just not having anyone or anyone I can be intimate with. Why can't I shake this off and find someone.

When it comes to looking for a relationship, you have to be patient. Have you put yourself out there to be seen? For example, go to a lounge so that you can socialize with people.

I have but sometimes I feel self conscious of myself and feel ugly fat and unattractive. I also sometime find it hard to go out with my anxiety.

my ex really messed my head up
its been years but im so bent out of shape from all the dramatic trauma she caused
i dont have anyone to talk to either and would love nothing more than a shoulder to lean on

I've definitely been there, actually that was yesterday for me. But it all takes time. It can be hard to see it now, but it does. At least that's the hope I'm living for.

1) You have to learn how to love yourself at any size because who else will? This takes time.
2) What are you anxious about when you go out? Are you afraid that something will happen? Things will not go your way?

Definitely things won't go my way. Also what others think or how I look. I also get sad when I see others having a good time and I'm just staring at my drink. Sorry for all this ranting just need to vent, feeling pretty low and lonely at the moment.

Relationships are stubborn things, and don't show themselves until the exact second they are supposed to. Women I think can -smell- desperation, which is dangerous: the last things guys like us need is rejection.

I don't have an answer for you except to work on your confidence and keep putting yourself out there. If you work you could perhaps fish off the company pier...having that common thread jump starts the initial awkwardness somewhat. Nobody will come knocking on your door out of the blue, that's a fact. Good Luck!

Find things you like to do, go interact as friends without looking for a relationship. Check out meetup for groups in your area that have similar likes as you. Just learn to have fun. Most things in life happen spontaneously when your not expecting them to.

You can only control yourself and how you look. You have to go with the flow when things do not go your way. You can't control what people think of you. Are you afraid of being along or going out alone? Do you have friends to go out with?

I'm afraid of both but I do not go out alone.
