addicted to PC ?

Lets see, I'm here to be a helpful engine, "compassion", ...

to learn something, "educational", ...

to see my friends, "fellowship", ...

to be uplifted, "by the too infrequent success story", ...

for my mental health, "to vent and rage out loud", ...

Those are all true but who am I kidding, I am addicted to pc, ... real life sucks for me so I live here, ... sad but true, ... but is that really so bad, ... friends are friends irl or cyber, right ?

I too am addicted to PC, but it is tough to keep posting sometimes because I know that my thoughts and opinions are basically useless and that I help nobody. At least that's how I feel.

On the other hand this is the only group of people that have accepted me for longer than just a few weeks.

I like to think that I do belong here.

before i found PC, i had no friends. (no friends at all)

and now i do

and i have a place to vent, a place to help others, a place to have fun with the games... all in 1
gives me a reason to get up in the morning- to come on here.

If it is compulsive but is not interfering negatively with your life, should we call it an addiction?

Sometimes I worry that finding places like this does enable my isolation. This is support, but it cannot replace real life support, in my opinion. But you may look at it differently...

If it actually is an addiction you can get apps that block certain websites for certain periods of time. After all, if it isnt harmful and you dont want to change it, why call it an addiction?

Coming from an addict that sometimes wishes people would stop throwing around the addiction label so freely.... but who also sees how the internet can be incredibly addictive.

did not mean to upset anyone, I was addicted to xanex and was finally able to stop earlier this year and this feels very much the same , .... I don't "need" it but I do want it, .... maybe addiction is an incorrect term , but I'm a pretty simple fella and really don't know what else to call it, .... sorry ...
