I'm considering doing a med change on my own (I know be careful... ) cutting out the latuda... I'm not sure it's doing anything for me... Not going to save my marriage or anything... I know I can't cut out the lamictal... That led has been excellent for me...
So anyone cut it on one med. (I guess I do still take seroquel but only for sleep) Thanks Sent from my iPhone 6 plus using Tapatalk

Curious about this, too. I really want to try Lamictal everyday and Zyprexa as-needed.

I'm on lamictal and saphris. I want to get off saphris (antipsychotic) saphris helps me sleep but I think I could maybe just rely on melatonin Ativan for sleep. I hate antipsychotics. I won't do this without pdoc assistance though. I hope she works with me..
Before. My second hospitalization in 09 I survived on depakote 250mg for about 5 years. That's all I took. So I know I can do it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Yeah the latuda is 200 a month (car payment) and if it's not doing much for me I'd like to cut it out. I think I'll start out cutting them in half and see how that works

Yeah. For years I was just on lamictal and alprazolam (which I only took .5mg at night to help me sleep). It is doable.

I'm only taking Lamictal and Prozac. The Respiradal is PRN which I never take. I stabilize on the depressed side, so the Prozac is to bring me to baseline, without it, I'd be depressed all the time.

I'm on lamictal and lithium. I am pretty flat and heading towards depression. I have an unopened bottle of prozac and am thinking about calling pdoc to tell her I want to start it.

I do really well on just Lamictal. Some klonopin every now and then.

I'm on lithium and lamictal. They work for me. It has to be closely monitored, but I can't go without it.

I'm on just lamictal right now. It's enough to keep my mood stable, but of course doesn't do anything for my anxiety. I've been managing it on my own for about 6 months or so, and its just so tiring and stressful. I'm about to start celexa in an effort to minimize the anxiety. Hopefully it helps.

I would never suggest making medicine changes on your own. I'm no doctor, but I have read enough on Google that is the #1 way to start suffering all over again. There is also an outside chance your doctor would drop you, and request you start seeing someone else. If he finds it hard to work with you, why would he care to continue. He like many, is very busy.

I only take 100 mg lamictal and 25 mg of imipramine. I have abilify on hand if I get any inkling that I might need it.

I just came off Seroquel (400mg) very slowly I think two months ago. I'm only on lamictal for my bipolar, and several meds for anxiety and sleep. The sleeping is a huge issue, as I'm sure is for just about everyone. I'm very stable so far. I'm worried, but I know that I can go on Seroquel if need be. I should mention though that I do not have bipolar with psychosis.

If your just on Lamictal.. It's mainly for the depressive end of Bipolar it rarely helps anything on the other end.
Why do you want off Latuda? Are you on straight Seroquel or XR?

I disagree- I have not had a single hypomanic episode since I've been on lamictal, but I have had a few "light funks". I think it balances moods equally, just prolly varies which end an individual tends toward more often. IMHO.

It's possible the Seroquel and Lamictal could keep your moods from swinging sure... But its an unknown for you ..
But right now.. Do you think it would be wise to fiddle with your meds when your wife is pulling all this shyt?

That's a decent point but a med isn't going to save this marriage. I don't want me to be so dulled down I just continue to put up with some of the crap. Don't get me wrong I'm no peach sometimes but I'm over her using my mi against me. That's just sick.. Anyway I'll let this thread get back on topic lol Sent from my iPhone 6 plus using Tapatalk

My two staples are seroquel and lamictal. I take others to avoid depressive episodes, but think I might be ok with just the 2. If your pdoc is willing to work with you to make it on just the stabilizer- go for it! But i wouldn't try it without pdoc's advice! WARNING- the seroquel WILL cause weight gain or at least increased glucose levels so I'm switching to trileptal- find something else for sleep.

This is what I am on as well. Do you tend toward mania or depression?
