I am currently on a taper of Klonopin and have been frightened of it because my anxiety is prevalent every day. I have a friend who started meditating and told me how it has changed her life and how she's been able to drop meds because of it.
Now, a Bipolar 1 meditating! No matter how good my meds are, I still have a hard time concentrating on one thing at a time. But I went and downloaded some guided meditation apps and have found that they have talked me though how to meditate with running thoughts. It has made a huge difference. I even almost forget to take my klonopin taper sometimes. Anyway- anyone looking for one way to get of of anxiety- pm me and I can let you know about the apps. ![]()

I came from Vipassana few days ago. I could really see how wild our mind is. The first few days the instructions are to follow the breathing, just observe the breath as it comes in and as it goes out, not controlling or doing anything, just observe.
This is really hard to concentrate even for 30 seconds merely on this 'simple' task. Maybe if we could train to do that, we would have much more control over our racing mind ?
