At my last pdoc visit he agreed to let me go down to 200 from 300 , starting in four months if I was still stable ... I ask how we would be tapering and he said straight to 200 , seemed a little quick to me so I have decided to taper myself down to 200 or lower during the next four months ... started with two 150's , cut one in half and then in half again , taking 150 plus 75 plus app 35 ,... resulting in 260 or so ... but may need to up this a little ... been on this for two weeks and are already having withdrawal , nauseous and dizzyness ,

I am going to stay with it this time , but on my own schedule , any advise or words of encouragement would be welcomed , if you would like I will keep you in the loop as how it is going , ... I figure since he agreed to the lower dose how I get there is my choice , also want to do this before he cuts my rx back to 200 and I have no option , ...

been reading some horror stories about lamictal withdrawal and welcome you sharing your experience ... I cold turkeyed xanex ok but I expect this to be a much more drawn out ordeal ....

I have been told I am very sensitive to meds and changes ( pdoc has even laughed about it)

"tigger could really use your support" ...

I am cutting mine soon as well. My doc said sometimes it kind of "numbs" you. Is that your experience?

When I weaned off it I felt physically sick pretty much the entire time, but things didn't start getting really bad until I was down to 50mg (couldn't walk, spinning room, etc.). I think I went down in 50mg increments. I had it all done in one month. Started at 200mg. I can't remember exactly how I did the taper, like when I went down, etc.

Just stay strong. You can do it! It gets worse before it gets better, but than once you're off, you're off.

Good luck, wire! Hugs.
